Who said, "Elvis has left the building"? This makes two Sundays in a row, I have woke up to Elvis singing. No complaints from me as this is a beautiful song that I have heard sung many times by many artists, Christian, Country, and Pop alike. It was written by Mylon Lefevre at 17 years old and then recorded by Elvis in 1963. Yes, this is another one that played on our home stereo quite often.
My favorite person who sang this song was my cousin who is 9 years younger than me. He use to sit with my family in church because he wanted too, but his mom and dad both sang in the choir also. But as a toddler, standing on the pew, it's as almost as if I can still remember hearing his sweet voice singing the words to this song. I don't believe I remember him singing any other songs so I guess this was his favorite. I need to check with him and see if he remembers or if he still sings "Without Him" these many years later.
Today will be a great day to be in the house of the Lord! I hope you will enjoy hearing Elvis once again sing "Without Him".
