When I Step Beyond The Clouds

Yesterday was day for watching the skies. The storms raging all around us. In fact, this morning, I'm still seeing the lightning and hearing the thunder. Over the past few years, I have gained a greater respect for the power of these storms and appreciate the knowledge and skill our meteorologists have to keep us advised to help us prepare and stay safe. Last night, Ms. Sandy posted on FB the picture above. Words from one of my favorite songs that brings us great comfort in times of storms, weather or any storm that rages in our life. I first heard Brother Ralph Easterwood sing "Till The Storm Passes By" at Glenn Haven Baptist Church when I was a teenager. In times of storms, it always comes to mind. I would not have been surprised to wake to it this morning. But God had different plans for my morning song!

Last night as I prepared for bed, I was thinking about the storms and as I had watched the skies and radar a great portion of the day, another song came to my thoughts. I believe I may have woke to "In The Sky" a few weeks ago. "There is a day that's oh so near, when our dear Savior will appear in the sky!" I wouldn't have been surprised to wake to it this morning, but God again had different plans.

This morning, I woke to a song that was recorded by The Inspirations in about 1980 (I think). This morning, I believe God is reminding me to look beyond the storms and think about how sweet it will be when we "Step Beyond The Clouds". I pray you will be blessed hearing this great quartet song today!

I thank you this morning, Lord for keeping us safe while the storm passed by.

I pray all of you will have a good and safe day today!
