Over the past few weeks as we have limited our exposure to the virus, we have also had to limit our contact with family, friends and just people in general. I have heard it said many times, how we miss one another and how eager we are to get back together. With telephones, texting, messaging, social media and all the ways we have to communicate it's just not the same as being together face to face. Brother John and I was talking the other day and we were discussing how it just seems we are just "disconnected".
Throughout the "isolation" people still tried to find ways to get out. Any of you go to Lowes? My goodness, with all the people and the long lines, you would have thought James Spann had predicted snow and everyone was stocking up on milk and bread, LOL I suspect Lowes, never knew they were so "essential". LOL And with the beautiful weather yesterday and as the restrictions are beginning to lift, people were running around every where. I was one of them, fully masked but enjoying being out and seeing people again seeming to enjoy life somewhat as normal once again.
I love seeing and talking to people I don't know, but I have been thrilled to run into one of my friends or church family over the past several weeks. This week I saw Fred and Michelle and yesterday evening, Ms. Shirley. It absolutely thrills me to see you!!! My heart needs that "connection", that face to face contact. I don't think God made me to be in isolation. I love the phone calls, emails, texts, messages and social media but they are only a nice addition and not a replacement for seeing you!
But there is coming a day, when we will meet again here on this earth but there's an even better meeting awaiting those who are saved, "What A Meeting In The Air"!!! I love this song. I remember listening to it when I was in the hospital recovering. I've always enjoyed hearing it by anyone who sings it. I think of The Cathedrals, the many different times I have heard The Speers and not to mention the congregation singing. But I was woke up to hearing The Inspirations this morning and I will share their version. I hope it will be a blessing to you!
Happy Mother's Day!!!
