This title says it all!!!
I remember sitting with Brother Bill in his home. He was sitting in his chair and began to talk about all of God's blessings on his life. What a sweet, Godly, humble man to share his love of God and his life experiences. He made the statement, he thought he was the most blessed man on earth. But you know, I shared with him, I thought I was. I can not begin to express all God's blessings on me and my life. I am so underserving of anything, yet God loves me so much.
I wonder if we take for granted the blessings in our lives. It seems we are no longer satisfied with anything. We want more and more stuff and when we don't get it we pitch a "hissy fit". And there are a lot of "hissy fits' being thrown these days. With all the "greatness" we have amassed in our lives, country, and world are we overlooking sometimes the true blessings God has given us. Yes, we have challenges, difficulties, sickness, tragedies and all those kind of things but look around at what we do have. It seems as if out face coverings we wear now have become blindfolds and we can no longer see. The blindness has caused us to loose tolerance, forgiveness, understanding and love for each other.
I am so blessed!!! And yet so underserving! I sit here this morning, awake and feeling good having a delicious cup of coffee and sharing a beautiful song God has given me with my friends. In a short time, I will see the darkness turn to light and watch a new day begin. Those of you who read my morning post regularly know I love the song "Lord I Want To Be A Blessing To Someone Today". That is my prayer today and top of my "to do list". I hope to be a positive impact and make a difference in someone's life today. I may fail but I will try!
