To God Be The Glory

It has almost been two years that I have been sharing a morning song. I never dreamed I would be able to do it past 2 or 3 days. Then it became a week, then two weeks and on. At the end of the first year, I thought that would be a good time to stop. But here I am, almost two years later, in my most feeble way trying to share how good God has been to me.

I have so much to be thankful for! God has been so good to me! I was born and raised in a Christian home. He saved me and He has sustained me throughout my 67+ years. He gave me a love of the great hymns of the Church and Southern Gospel Music at an early age. Almost 4 years ago when I became sick, while doctors, staff and many family and friends gave up hope that I would make it, God said, "not so fast! I've got this!"

Sometime during my recovery, I realized I was waking each day with a song! I may always have as many of you do, but it hit me that God was starting my day with a song! I shared this was a couple of people and they encouraged me to share and I have tried the best I can. But I am not a writer. I often don't know what to say but I have always wanted the message and song to be meaningful to others as it is to me.

This morning's song is another one of the wonderful hymns of Fanny Crosby. It was first written in 1872 but became so wonderfully loved during the Billy Graham Crusades beginning in 1954. I often get caught up in what I'm doing, what I've done, what I've accomplished but none of it would have been possible without God. "To God Be The Glory!" In all things, we must always praise Him, worship Him, lift Him on high, giving Him all the Glory!

I pray today your day will be amazing!
