This past Saturday, I ran into two of my most special friends at Publix. As we talked, the subject of Hobby Lobby came up and one said they loved it while I said I didn't like to go there. Well, I wasn't really being truthful and was just trying to be silly. Hobby Lobby is place I do spend too much time (and money) and the lines are usually long. But I do appreciate Hobby Lobby, what they stand for and I truly enjoy the music while shopping. Sometimes you have to listen close but it is always playing and it is my favorite kind of music and I almost always hear one of my favorite songs.
A few visits ago, I heard "This Is My Father's World" and while I'm not sure, I believe it may have been from a CD I bought many years ago. If it wasn't the same CD, the instruments sure sounded as I remember. I love reading the words:
"This is my Father's world,
And to my listening ears
All nature sings, and round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world:
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees, of skies and seas--
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world:
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.
This is my Father's world: O let me ne'er forget That though the wrong seems oft so strong, God is the Ruler yet. This is my Father's world: Why should my heart be sad? The Lord is King: let the heavens ring! God reigns; let earth be glad!"
This song dates back to the early 1900's. It was written by Maltie D. Babcock. I pray you will be blessed hearing it today!
I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!
