The Wonder of Wonders

I woke up yesterday morning to the song "Rejoice". And it was a day to "Be Glad, Lift Your Voice, Rejoice." Of course every day should be this way, but yesterday it was so appropriate for me. On a cold, windy, rainy day, our services at church warmed my heart and soul. In the morning service we were blessed with the children sharing a flute and violin solo, carols by the hand bell choir and the little ones dressed and acting out the manger scene and the babies dressed as angels. We know how Jesus felt about the little children and I believe he would be well pleased. The choir sang their final song of this Christmas season "What Christmas Really Means". Karen and Kadie sang "Angels We Have Heard On High" so beautifully and a rendition of this old carol as I have never heard before. And God was with Brother John as he delivered a Christmas message that all should hear.

Last night we gathered in our activities building for a candlelight service. it was such a sweet service as Karen played the keyboard, Kadie sang acapella "Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel" and she later played a violin solo, Roger sang "Sweet Little Jesus Boy", Brother Noah read from Luke the scripture of our Savior's birth, the congregation sang several beautiful carols, Brother John led us though the Ordinance of the Lord's Supper and Rick concluded the service singing "Oh Holy Night". We also had a special guest, our dear Brother from Haiti who early in the service shared a message and later gave the benediction in his native language. It was a beautiful evening of praise and worship of our dear Savior's birth!

If you haven't picked up on it by now, you can know I loved being in the house of the Lord yesterday, worshiping with the people I love and feeling the holy spirit engulf us in God's Love.

I loved waking up to this morning's song. It has been a favorite for so long even though I do not recall hearing it recently. Of course, I'm never sure why God gives me a particular song each morning but after yesterday, I'm truly thankful He picked this one for me today! I hope it will bring a blessing to you as it always brings me. Jesus is "The Wonder of Wonders".
