Yesterday I would call "unusual" but what started for me with a bit of uncertainty but lots of hope, turned into a day that I would call "amazement" and even greater hope! Certainly, not a typical Sunday, but I enjoyed our online Sunday School class, our Pastor's message and throughout the day, I watched lots of preaching (online of course) . The day was full with social media posts of encouragement, prayers, scriptures and delightful videos. I have a feeling that the Word of God may have been shared more and by more people than usual yesterday and that is incredible. I told Brother John, it would be worth it all if just one lost soul would be saved or if it brought someone back into closer fellowship with God.
Of course, I watched the news yesterday, I always watch the news and probably too much, But I have noticed we have started calling the virus "an invisible enemy". Well, I guess it is and I guess that's good terminology to describe what we are fighting. Last night, after prayers, I lay there for a while before falling asleep and these words came to my mind; "I love to tell the story of unseen things above, Of Jesus and His glory, of Jesus and His love; I love to tell the story, because I know ’tis true, It satisfies my longings as nothing else would do" . Yes, those are the opening words of the old song "I Love To Tell The Story". As we fight and deal with this "invisible enemy" it awesome to have Jesus as He does satisfy our longings as nothing else can do.
And then this morning, I was awaken with another one of my favorite songs, "The Unseen Hand".
"There is an unseen hand to me, that leads through ways I can not see. While going through this world of woe, this hand still leads me as I go. I'm trusting to the unseen hand. That guides me through this weary land, And some sweet day I'll reach that strand, still guided by the unseen hand."
So as we fight this "invisible enemy" it's sweet to know, we have His unseen hand to lead us through the ways we can not see.
{Technology is not my friend this morning (We've never been real close LOL) and I can not post the link the to song version I woke up to this morning. In fact, I can not seem to post any link. So forgive me please. I'll post the words and perhaps you will go to You Tube or your music source and listen and enjoy as I have this morning.}
"There is an unseen hand in me That leads through ways I cannot see While going through this world of woe This hand still leads me as I go. I’m trusting to the unseen hand That guides me through this weary land And some sweet day I’ll reach that strand Still guided by the unseen hand. I long to see my Savior’s face And sing the sweet story I’ve been saved by grace And there upon that golden strand I’ll praise Him for His guiding hand. I’m trusting to the unseen hand That guides me through this weary land And some sweet day I’ll reach that strand Still guided by the unseen hand".
I pray your Monday will be fantastic!
