That Glad Reunion Day

I don't dream too much or at least I don't wake up remembering them if I do. But last night, I had one of the sweetest dreams. I have spoke many times of attending the church I grew up in. My dream, last night was attending a service there again. Even in a dream, it was good to see all of those beautiful, smiling faces. Their sweet voices, the amazing singing, the prayers lifted to heaven. I will always remember The Word being preached, the sweet members and their voices of wisdom, comfort, encouragement, the examples they set as well as the friendships and the closeness. In so many ways, the people remind me of EGBC. Of course, many, if not all of those in my dream have all gone on to be with The Lord! I am so blessed to have those memories and the ability to dream about them.

And then it was pretty special to wake to a song, that goes back to those days and makes my dream so much more real. "That Glad Reunion Day" was a song I recall often singing in church. Can you just imagine, the rejoicing of that day when we see our loved ones and friends that have gone on before us. Most of all, can you imagine seeing Jesus? That will be a glad reunion day!

I love reunions and events when I get to see my precious family and friends. I enjoy them, the conversations, the laughter, the pleasure of seeing the ones we have not seen in a long time. I don't know about you, but I don't want the day or event to end. But one day, there will be a reunion like no other and it will go on for all eternity.

I pray you will be blessed hearing the old hymn, "That Glad Reunion Day" written by Adger M. Pace in 1940.

Wishing you a terrific Tuesday!
