I have said it so many times, but I honestly feel more blessed than anyone ever. But the greatest of all my blessings was the day I accepted the gift of salvation. I can never thank Him enough for loving me so much!!!
I suppose I learned this sweet "chorus" as a very young child listening to it in Sunday School and Church. I've had it on my mind and in my thoughts so often the past few weeks. I believe I woke up to "Thank You Lord For Saving My Soul" shortly before we cancelled and shut down everything and I wrote a morning message about it. Here it is over 6 months later, we've all be through so much and even today, there is still so much turmoil in so many lives and across our land.
I've often heard people talk about the things that bring them comfort. I've heard about comfort foods, their blanket, their pet, even a particular song or type of music. I guess we all have things that bring us comfort. I do! I love my family, friends, memories and other comfort things but there is nothing that gives me greater calm, peace, and comfort than knowing that I'm saved and on my way to heaven.
I love this sweet old chorus! I love walking around singing it! I love walking through Walmart (or anywhere else) thinking of it or evening humming it! I loved waking up to it this morning! Don't be surprised if you drive by my house today, catch me in the yard planting pansies and hear me singing!
