This morning I had a first since I started writing this blog. Well, at least I think it was a first. I woke up very early (and I mean very early) hearing the beautiful old hymn, "Take The Name Of Jesus With You". But instead of getting up and writing, I lay there thinking about the song, the words and my memories. Before long I fell back to sleep, to wake up a little later than normal to "Thank You Lord For Saving My Soul".
"Precious name! Oh, how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heav’n;
Precious name! Oh, how sweet!
Hope of earth and joy of heav’n."
"Thank you Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you Lord, for making me whole;
Thank you Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free."
Both of these songs and their choruses have been sung so many times over the years and hold so many fond memories in my life. Both have brought so much joy and comfort.
I have so much to be thankful for. God has been so good to me! But if the only thing He ever did for me was sending His Son to pay the price for my salvation, I would have enough to praise His name and give Him thanks for all eternity.
I hope you will enjoy hearing both today!!!
