Sometimes I often find myself questioning why I woke to a particular song. I often do not know the words I need or want to write to go with the message of the song. I've said so many times, I'm not a writer and never have pretended to be. I am amazed to still be writing a morning message a year and half after starting. I'm thankful that so often the song, the message have been an encouragement, meaningful, brought back a memory or whatever to me and so many of you.
While I have heard others sing "Sinner Saved By Grace", it is a song I particularly enjoyed hearing The Cathedrals sing. The heartfelt passion they shared with this song always drove home the point that we are all sinners. But many of us have made the most important decision anyone can make and we are saved by Grace.
I'm glad to wake to this song this morning as it goes "hand in glove" with the Sunday School lesson this morning entitled "Sinners". The writer of the lesson makes 3 points:
Some people are rightly desperate to see Jesus.
Jesus is available to all people regardless of the past.
Salvation is available to all who come to Jesus in repentance and faith.
I'm thankful for the day, I asked Jesus to come into my heart. I'm thankful that He accepted me just as I was. I'm thankful for His willingness to shed His blood to cleanse me of all my sins. As the words of the song says, "when I stood condemned to die, He took my place".
I pray "Sinner Saved By Grace" will be a blessing to you today!
I wish for you an amazing Sunday!
