I don't believe it was too long ago I woke to this grand old song written by Dad Speer. But it is certainly a good one to wake too on this rainy Wednesday morning or any other morning for that matter.
I have enjoyed this song truly all my life as Dad Speer wrote this one around the time I was born, I remember listening to it often when I was in long term care. But this morning it is bringing back memories of the quartet in the church I grew up in. This memory is not so much about the song but the piano playing as the quartet sung "Sing Me A Song About Jesus". Of course, you know I love someone playing the piano. I have spoke often of Ms. Wade and today I get to listen to Linda, Karen, Roger and others and I love to hear Kim Collingsworth play. But the pianist that played for the Merrits Ave. Church Quartet was Mrs. Glore. Perhaps my memory is not correct this morning but it is remembering her really "showing out" on "Sing Me A Song About Jesus". Even it my memory is wrong, that's ok with me as I like the memory as it is!
I pray you will be blessed hearing this wonderful old song today!
I hope your day is good and hope to see you in prayer meeting tonight!
