This morning, I woke to a song (actually the chorus) that I'm sure that like me you have heard so many times. What a comfort, this chorus has been. When it seems times go from bad to worse, when we feel fear, despair and hopelessness and when those storms of life are raging, we should remember the words of Jesus in Mark 5:36.
“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.”
The words of the grand old hymn was written in 1921 by Paul Rader. Rev. Rader was a pastor, he wrote numerous gospel lyrics and several tunes, He was instrumental in founding the Tabernacle Publishing Company and he was a pioneer in Christian broadcasting in the early days of radio.
"Only believe, only believe;
All things are possible, only believe;
Only believe, only believe;
All things are possible, only believe."
I hope you will enjoy hearing Karen Peck and New River sing this amazing song this morning!
Let us pray for our Sunday morning services and may God bless us all as we attend in person, or if we listen on TV or radio or watch on internet.
