I love waking up to the old hymns. This is another one written by G. T. Dad Speer in 1948. I wonder how many times it has been sung by church congregations and various groups over the years? It brings back memories of old church revivals and homecomings and everyone singing as they never had before or never would again. There's something about Dad Speer's songs that seem to do that.
I have mentioned a couple of times, when I was recovering in the hospital and had the strength and was finally able to operate my phone I loved listening to music. This is another one of the songs, I loved.
Brother Roger does an amazing a job of selecting music for our worship services and as great anyone I have even had the privilege to sing with. For the choir and congregation alike, I believe he is inspired to select the perfect blend of old and new hymns that prepare our hearts for the message. I'll just be glad to get back and start singing with everyone again. Maybe "O, The Glory Did Roll" will be one of those songs.
I hope you will enjoy hearing this great song once again!
