Christmas music has been playing at my house and in the car for several weeks. I love Christmas for so many reasons and the music is one of those reasons. I heard some TV hosts a few mornings ago, discuss the music of Christmas what was their favorites. When it comes to my Christmas favorite, I can't say I have one. I just like too many but what I would call the traditional songs I enjoy the most. I love the words, the phrases or sequence of words that make the song special for me. So it is with "O Come All Ye Faithful".
When family or friends have new babies, we often travel for miles to meet the new little one, take a gift, congratulate the parents and enjoy the amazing occasion. Can you imagine what it would have been like if we had heard the announcement, Baby Jesus was born and we were going to travel and follow the star where He lay? What would it have like to arrive, and gaze upon His precious face?
And as Paul Harvey would have said, "we know the end of the story". This precious baby, was the Son of God, lived a perfect life, died for our sins and rose to live for ever more.
'Sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation
Sing, all ye citizens of heaven above!
Glory to God
All glory in the highest!"
Yes ... "come let us adore Him, come let us adore Him, come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord".
