My Lord Is Taking Good Care Of Me

I believe I first heard this song when my favorite quartet recorded it on their "God Makes No Mistakes" album about 10 years ago. It quickly became a song I enjoyed very much. This morning as I lay there for a few minutes before actually getting up, I was thinking I had heard it recently sung by someone else that I enjoyed but could not remember. Finally this old brain kicked in and I knew.

Several weeks ago, my cousin either sent to me or posted a video of The Detty Sisters. I had never heard them before and I thoroughly enjoyed them singing. The video was them singing "My Lord is Taking Good Care Of Me". These girls had been singing in their home and in their home church all their lives. But in 2018 they decided to start sharing their songs with the world. I love seeing young people starting out early in their lives serving our Lord.

Before prayer meeting last night, I walked across the street where our church's young people were preparing for their worship service. I was kidding some of them and said I wish I wasn't gray haired and bald headed so I could sing with them. They were sweet to say I could any way but I know they were just being nice. (and they knew I didn't know their songs LOL) But I love young people singing and serving God. Oh how it brings back memories of the young people I went to church with. Last night, it was a few minutes of "rolling back the clock" for me!

I love the words of "My Lord Is Taking Good Care Of Me":

I got up this morning and I started my day. God's mercy was with me all of the way. His goodness stayed close by to meet all my needs, My Lord is taking good care of me .

I'm never forsaken I'm never alone. One day I'm moving to my brand new home. I'm blessed beyond measure just look close you'll see, My Lord is taking good care of me, I'm counting my blessings as I journey along. Good friends, a family and a place to call home. The church where I worship, the Bible I read, My Lord is taking good care of me. When Satan comes tempting and he brings up my past. I tell him I'm forgiven and it's buried at last. The blood shed at Calvary now speaks for me, My Lord is taking good care of me. I'm never forsaken I'm never alone. One day I'm moving to my brand new home. I'm blessed beyond measure just look close you'll see. My Lord is taking good care of me.

I will post a link to both The Inspirations and The Detty Sisters. I hope you will enjoy both!
