It is a joy to share with you an old hymn I have always loved. I know I have shared this hymn and the story of the hymn before but I believe it's worth repeating. In my opinion it is one of the greatest love poems every written. As a teenager, William Featherstone made the decision to accept Christ as his Savior. Shortly after, in the late 1850's, he wrote this poem to his aunt. A few years later the music was added. I believe I remember Mr. Featherstone died in his mid 20's. In his short life, I wonder if he realized the impact of his words on so many.
I love hymns that have "stood the test of time". "My Jesus I Love Thee" is one of those that has and I believe it will be one of those for many, many years to come. I pray you will be blessed hearing it today!
I hope your Tuesday will be amazing!
