"More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show;
More of his saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
Refrain:
More, more about Jesus,
More, more about Jesus;
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More about Jesus let me learn,
More of his holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
More about Jesus in His Word,
Holding communion with my Lord;
Hearing his voice in ev'ry line,
Making each faithful saying mine. [Refrain]
More about Jesus on his throne, Riches in glory all His own; More if His kingdom's sure increase; More of His coming, Prince of peace."
These words have been written in many hymnals, sung and recorded by many since 1887. E. E. Hewitt, as a young adult, developed a spinal illness and she spent a great deal of her life in a body cast. Going through a very difficult time in her life, she penned these words demonstrating her desire to know more about Jesus, the One she put her total trust and faith.
On this "Good Friday" and the remainder of my life, I pray that I will gain even greater passion as E.E. Hewitt had for the desire to know "More About Jesus" and that I would share the good news of His saving Grace to others.
I pray you will have a good day today!
