Look For Me At Jesus Feet

Yesterday morning, I was "piddling" (as my Mom would have called it) in the yard with my music playing. I heard a song I do not recall hearing recently. It was "Look For Me At Jesus Feet". I enjoyed hearing it as I did the other songs played but I went on about my business of taking care the little things I was doing outside. And then this morning, I was awaken to hearing this great song again.

I believe this was one of the early songs written by Squire Parsons. I first remember it from the mid 70's. It was being sung by many groups including the group I sang with. It was probably one of our most popular songs and most requested. We had become pretty good friends with The Singing Echoes from Cleveland, TN and I believe I first heard them sing "Look For Me At Jesus Feet". After hearing them sing it, we decided it was a song we needed to add to the songs we sang.

This morning, I'm reminded of what I call a special time from my days of singing. It was a Saturday afternoon and The Singing Echoes were scheduled to sing at our church that night. My group had another engagement to sing at a different church. We met The Singing Echoes at our church early and had a good time of fellowship and we both sang a couple of songs for each other. Why I remember that this morning, I don't know, but it was a very special time of fellowship with a great group of people. One thing I'm sure of, it was a good way to "kick off" a great night of singing for both groups. Well at least in my opinion.

Can you think of any greater promise, that one day, when our life here is done, we will be able to see Christ our Savior and thank him for dying for us? I have a feeling it may be a little crowded around Jesus' feet but that's ok. We will have all eternity!!!

I hope you will enjoy hearing, "Look For Me At Jesus Feet".
