I love the last verse of this song!
"When the conflict here is ended
And our race on earth is run,
He will say, if we are faithful,
“Welcome home, My child—well done!”
I do not remember when I first heard "Little Is Much When God Is In It". I seem to recall it being sung as a solo special with the choir at my childhood church. But is a vague sweet memory. But my fondest memory was hearing it sung by a trio that I met while I was doing some quartet singing. We had been invited to sing at a homecoming service at a small church in NE Georgia, I think Winder or Braselton. Singing that day was a trio from the church, two teenage men and a lady. Oh my goodness, how they could sing. That teenage lady had a voice like none other and when they sang "Little is Much" it was unforgettable. This church trio only sang at their home church but we were fortunate to have them accompany us on several occasions when we sang in the area. it was always a joy to be with them in service.
"Little I Much When God Is In it" was written by Kittie L. Stuffield in 1924. Again, this is one of those songs that has been sung and recorded by many but you don't hear it too much today. I'm glad I woke up to it this morning, the memory and the message.
I know many of you who read the blog enjoy hearing Ernie Haase and Signature Sound so I chose a link of them singing this awesome song. Ernie "shows out" a little bit so I hope you will be blessed!
