Brother John's message yesterday was powerful on "Being A Patriot For God" and taking a stand for Him. 1. Move towards God, 2. Pray to God and 3. Give praise to God. We are going to experience some difficult times, days of sadness and sorrow, moments of division and anger, but it is so important that during all of this we must take our stand for God and recognize that the 'darkness" is just for a short time and the "light of the day" will bring us hope and joy eternally. And "The Victory Is Sweet"!
I woke to a song that I'm not very familiar with. I have heard it sung many times before but have never made much notice of it. But I woke to hearing a version I recalled of Joy Gardner singing it on one of the Gaither videos. I was thinking that the song was written by Larry Hinson of the Hinsons often featured on Sunday morning's Gospel Jubilee. But the Hinsons did not record it until about 20 years after the Gaither Trio recorded it. So perhaps it was written by the Gaithers. Maybe there is more than one version, I just don't know. But regardless, I'm glad as the night turned to morning, I woke up to "Joy Comes In The Morning".
I hope that "Joy Comes In The Morning " will be an encouragement, a source of hope and strength today and you will enjoy the beautiful voice of Joy Gardner as she shares this song of promise.
