As I have gotten older and perhaps even more so after I became ill, I have decided, spring is my favorite time of the year. There is something about the air (excluding the pollen), the brightness of the sun, the flowers and trees blooming, the birds singing. It is as if the world is coming alive! The sunrise and the joy of looking outside and seeing all the colors excites me. Maybe spring for me is just a little "tease" of how beautiful Heaven will be when I get my first glimpse!
"Jesus Will Outshine Them All" is a song I woke to not too many weeks ago. It was a joy to wake to it again this morning. This is a song that was written by Gordon Jensen in the early 1970's. Mr. Jensen has penned many songs that you would recognize. "Redemption Draweth Nigh", "There's Enough Of God's Love", "I Should Have Been Crucified", "Bigger Than Any Mountain", and one of my favorites, that the EGBC choir sings, "Written In Red" as well as many others. I'm not sure of my first recollection of "Jesus Will Outshine Them All" but I suspect it was when The Inspirations recorded it on their "We Shall Rise" album in 1973. Also, in 1973, The Speer Family recorded it on their "I Never Shall Forget The Day' album which was one of my favorites. It has been sung and recorded by many others but those are two that come to my mind this morning!
I pray you will be blessed hearing this wonderful song today!
