It is a marvelous blessing to wake this morning to one of the great Squire Parson's songs written in about 2000. But it was not until 2012 that I began to truly know this song. It was recorded as the title of The Inspiration's new CD and it quickly became one of my favorites.
Yesterday was one of those kind of days when so many different things happened and they all made me realize that we need to remember, "God Is Still On The Throne". I will not go through the "list" of various "things" from yesterday but I will share one and I hope it will lead to your prayers for this individual.
A couple of weeks ago, a dear friend's father was in the hospital for congestive heart failure. After a few days, he was able to return home. Unfortunately, he is back in the hospital but along with the congestive heart failure there is concern he may have contracted Covid19. With his several underlying health issues there is great concern and it is so hard for my friend as she is not able to be with him. But as I was talking with her last night, she lifted my heart and spirit. She is a prayer warrior. I know she prayed for me while I was so sick. She knows where her strength comes and knows on who she depends. As I was offering words of encouragement, I was the one who was encouraged as she knows so many are praying for her Dad and he is in God's Hands. What a comfort to have that assurance.
And this morning I woke up to hearing the words to this song:
"Oh, it's in the Savior's hands, those precious nail-scarred hands. Though driven through with nails, those precious hands, they'll never fail. I may not understand; Oh but I'm trusting in the Great I am. It's good to know it's in the Savior's hands."
I hope you will enjoy hearing what I woke up to today.
For any of you who would like to hear Squire on his Millennial Collection album, I'll share that link also.
And, I hope to see you in prayer meeting tonight!
