Often during Brother John's sermons or Bible Studies, he will share the definition of a particular word or words. I love when he does this as it bring clarity, power, and even greater meaning to the scripture passage or statement he is sharing. Well, what does that have to do with my song this morning you may ask?
I woke to "It's A Grand and Glorious Feeling" several months ago. I remember waking to it and writing about it, even though I really don't remember what I wrote (but I'm sure that doesn't surprise you LOL). But as I woke this morning to this great old song, I thought about Brother John and how he might handle this titled. I believe he would say, "Grand means, having more importance than others, inclusive and comprehensive, chief and principal, lavish or sumptuous, lofty or sublime, and wonderful. Glorious means, illustrious, magnificent, delightful and wonderful."
I believe Albert E. Brumley had a pretty good grasp of the meaning of these two words when in the early 40's he wrote this song. "It Is A Grand And Glorious Feeling" to wake up this morning and know that I am a child of God!
