I loved waking up this morning and hearing this wonderful old song. An old song from the Church Hymnal I have heard so many times and it brings back so many memories. I also remembered I woke to this song some time ago and I went back through all the old posts to find it. It was in early February and I have to say, I believe that was one of the longest most rambling posts I believe I have ever written LOL (and that's saying a lot because most of my posts are long and rambling LOL) So I will try to keep this one short and less rambling.
"In The Sweet Forever" was written by Luther G. Presley and first published in 1945. It is one of those old hymns that I grew up hearing. It was one of the old standards so often sung in those old country churches during services and revival meetings. I woke up to hearing it as if I was sitting in one of those old country churches and hearing the congregation just sing out with their whole hearts. Oh how I love remembering those precious days.
As I've mentioned before, I always try to post a link to a singer or group as I heard while waking but finding a good congregation link is often difficult. When I woke to this song previously I posted a link to The Hoppers. This morning I'm going to post a link to Mountain Faith. As I mentioned a few mornings ago, I just became familiar with them. I hope you will enjoy their bluegrass style singing this old hymn this morning!
I pray you will have a blessed Friday!
