After I started writing this morning message, one of the first few songs I woke too was "In The Shelter Of His Arms". Dottie Rambo wrote this song in the late 60's and there's a special story how she came to write the words to this great song. It has been sung and recorded by many over the years. "In The Shelter Of His Arms" has a special meaning to me and brings back very precious memories when I hear it.
In my late teens and early 20's, I had the opportunity to sing in a quartet with my cousin, Wayne. Wayne and I where close (as I have been to all my cousins). Wayne and I spent lots of time growing up together as we were just a few months apart in age. It was a privilege to sing with him. "In The Shelter Of His Arms" was a song, Wayne took the lead. It was rare for us to do a service, Wayne did not sing this song. Wayne lives in the Philippines now, so we only hear from each other every now and then through FB. Even though it has been sung and recorded by many, I would rather hear Wayne sing it than anyone else.
I pray you will be blessed hearing "In The Shelter Of His Arms" today!
