"I will praise Him in the good times,
I'll praise Him in the bad.
I'll praise Him when I'm happy,
I'll praise Him when I'm sad.
I will praise Him for the blood, that He shed on Calvary.
I will praise His name forever,
God has been so good to me."
Now that's a great way to wake up even if it is very early! God has been so good to me and I will praise Him forever.
"While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being." Psalm 146:2
"I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore." Psalm 86:12
"I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being."
Psalm 104:33
Yesterday, I woke up to the song "My Lord Is Taking Good Care Of Me". As I wrote about the song, while I realized He did take good care of me, I wasn't thinking how good until I visited my kidney doctor yesterday afternoon. Two years ago, my kidneys were failing along with some of my other organs. Even if I survived, they were quite concerned that dialysis might be in my future. But God had different plans. For the past two years, I have visited my kidney doctor every 3 months. My first visit he shared with me that while my kidneys were not functioning the best, I should be able to live with them so long as they didn't grow worse. Every 3 months, I would almost hear the same results, my numbers were not changing too much. And then yesterday, with a smile, he gave me good news. For the first time, my kidneys were showing some signs of improvement. My Lord has been taking good care of me.
I was thinking about prayer meeting this past Wednesday. While we always have so many prayer requests with the sick, those in the hospital or rehab, homebound or other needs, this week we also had so many praise reports. And I give God the praise for my kidney report as well as everything He has done for me in my life. God has been so good to me and all of us!
I love this morning's song! It reminds me to praise Him during the good times but also the bad. But most of all, we should praise Him for the blood He shed on Calvary. I hope you will enjoy hearing The inspirations sing "I Will Praise Him".
