Happy Mother's Day! I have enjoyed the past few days reading the posts and memories of so many Moms. It will soon be 7 years since my Mom left us. There is not a day goes by (actually several times a day) that my Mom comes to my mind. It may be a result of something I'm doing, something I'm reading, something I'm watching, something I'm talking about ... just about anything. There is no doubt, Moms love us, we love them and they make a tremendous influence in our lives.
As I went to bed last night, I wondered if I would wake to a morning song. I listened to quite a bit of music before I went to bed and would not have been surprised to have heard several different ones as I listened to many of my favorites. Then just before, I shut everything down, Brother Charles sent me a video clip of "Father Along". Of course, I had to send him one back of his favorite singer's version of "Father Along" and I also sent him one of my favorites. So going to sleep, "Father Along" along was on my mind. But that is not the song I woke too.
This morning's Sunday School lesson is entitled "Denied" and Luke 22:54-62 is the scripture reference. Peter denied Jesus three times just as Jesus said he would. The lesson says, "Denying Jesus leads to sorrow and guilt". Will we deny Jesus? I love the words in the lesson that says, "Like us, Peter was a great sinner. But our Christ is an even greater Savior'".
I pray you will be blessed hearing my morning song, "I'm Not Ashamed".
I pray you will have a blessed Sunday and Mother's Day!
