Now here's an oldie that I have always enjoyed. I believe I first remember the church quartet singing it when I was growing up. But later, I remember hearing it sung by many of the popular southern gospel artists. It was often sung by The Happy Goodmans, The Statesman, The Florida Boys, The Speer Family, The Sego Brothers and Naomi, Wendy Bagwell and The Sunliters as well as many others. I believe it was one of the many songs written by Leroy Abernathy.
Of course, I love hearing the old quartets and their style of singing a particular song. But I also enjoy hearing a new, younger group take one of the old songs, apply their style and sing it. One of those groups is Ernie Haase and Signature Sound. I hope you will enjoy hearing this great old song this morning.
I pray you will have a great Sunday!
