I Have Not Forgotten

I love this song and really enjoyed waking to it this morning. I remember waking to it previously, so I went back and found that post. It was in May of last year. As I said in the previous post, there are a lot of things we may not remember over the years, but I have never met a single person who has accepted Christ as their Savior, who have forgot that moment. I sure know I haven't!

This is what I wrote in May, 2020:

"I Have Not Forgotten" is a great song written by Lance Carpenter and it was the Sothern Gospel Music song of the year in 2005 or 2006. Mr. Carpenter wrote many amazing songs recorded by several individual artists and quartets. Mr. Carpenter was later diagnosed with dementia but there is a story of his appearance in 2016 during an Old Time Preacher's Quartet service. Deep into his condition, the quartet invited him on to the platform to honor him for his contributions to Southern Gospel Music. Mr. Carpenter sang, "What A Day That Will Be" and at the conclusion of the song, simply said, "I'm Glad I'm Saved". It is said there was not a dry eye in the place, with Mr. Carpenter's simple testimony signifying that even with dementia, he had not forgotten.

I pray you will be blessed hearing this wonderful song today!

And here's a live version with Brother Carpenter singing "I Have Not Forgotten" that I thought you may enjoy!

I hope you will have a great day!
