Last night, I was sitting in my chair, doing some reading and eating a little container or Jello pudding (actually two little containers) when I heard Trey Gowdy on TV say "who can you trust?" Well, that caught my attention and I started to listen to his comments a little more closely. He went through several examples of his trust. For example, he mentioned as he boards a plane, he does not know the pilot or copilot but at 30,000 feet, his complete trust is in their ability to fly and land the plane safely. He said many of the people we trust everyday are people we do not even know, yet we place our trust in them. The entire segment was on who can we trust with the integrity of our voting system. He mentioned our country's motto of "In God We Trust" but as I recall, he said, perhaps sadly it's just a motto.
I thought about our Sunday morning Church service and Linda singing "I Can Trust Him". (I believe that is the title.) I love the line in the song, 'He is able and unchanging. He's the Hope that surrounds me faithfully."

The news segment I briefly watched was about who can we trust. It's necessary to put our trust in many people and many things every day. But ultimately, as Linda sang so beautifully, "I Can Trust Him." It's our trust in Jesus that will see us through every day. He will be with us every step of every day, suppling our every need. And then one day, we will meet Him, face to face, to praise Him for ever more! Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus!
It's no wonder, I woke to "I Can Trust Jesus" this morning! I went to bed continuing to think about "trust" and thanking God for the assurance He has given us if we only trust Him. I have been awaken to this song several times and I always enjoy hearing The Collingsworth Family sing it. I pray you will enjoy hearing it today also!
