I Call Him Lord

In 1975, Dottie Rambo wrote what I think may be the most beautiful of her over 2500 songs she composed. Don't get me wrong, I love so many of her songs and find the words so very touching and inspiring. But there is something special about "I Call Him Lord". I love every time I hear it and regardless of who sings it. It seems to have evolved into a song that is sang more during the Christmas season but I am glad I woke up hearing it this morning!

Today, is a special day! (But come to think about it they are all special, right?) This morning, we "spring", "sprung", "jumped". "leaped" or whatever forward. Now if I'm right, that means now, even if a sleep a little later, I still get to see the night turn to day. (I think I'm right. It seems to be right this morning. LOL) As I repeat myself, I love the quietness of the morning, looking out the French doors from my chair and watch the sky begin to brighten and the new day begin. With the changing of the time, we know we are closer to the warmer days of spring. The trees are already blooming, many flowers are showing their colors and even more will be soon. I was thinking yesterday, it won't be long before I need to prepare my hummingbird feeders as they will be arriving soon. Everyday, we should celebrate God's creation, but I think spring just "shows off" His handiwork in a special kind of way!

But today is a special day because it is Sunday! The day we set aside each week to gather together and worship. This morning at East Gadsden, we will celebrate Sunday School and honor our teachers and staff. We will have a special service and our youngest will preform with their hand bells and we have a guest singer. And I know, Brother John will deliver an inspired message. But most important, I look forward to the Holy Spirit being with us, touching our lives, changing our lives and making us be more as we He would have us to be. I pray the same for you, in your church services. And if you are not able to attend services, I pray God will provide His blessings on you for your healing, comfort and peace.

There are so many choices of those who have recorded, "I Call Him Lord". As I "cruised thru" You Tube this morning, trying to decide a link to post, I thought I will just post a bunch. LOL But I finally decided on "Sisters". I always love hearing them sing and the beautiful harmonies. I don't know them, never seen them in concert, but I think what I like most when I hear them sing is the song always appears to be sung directly from the very depths of their hearts. I hope you will enjoy and that you will have an awesome Sunday!
