I woke very early hearing the song "I Believe In A Hill Called Mount Calvary" but went back to sleep. But I woke again and I knew it was time to get up and try to write something that I pray will be an encouragement to someone who may need it today. Those lines above from the song have been in my mind all morning!
It would be easy to write about what appears to be needed changes in the hearts of so many in our world today. In my opinion, there is so much hatred, intolerance, the thirst for power, and not even to mention the immoral acts that take place and those acts appear to be condoned. There is so much division, confusion, discourse and the feelings grow greater with every passing day. But instead of writing about others, I should look in my heart and recognize the change Jesus has made in my life. Most of all, He gave me a new life when I accepted Him as my Savior! Even though I fail Him so many times and in so many ways, He has never failed me. I'm so glad He lives in me and when my thoughts or actions are not what they should be, it's not long until He speaks and I know His hurt and disappointment in me. Jesus loves me!!! He loves all of us!!!
I pray that as time marches on today, tomorrow and until the time of His return, that I will always strive to be more like Him and that others' hearts and lives will be changed. I pray for the many around the world, that need the touch of Christ to heal their hearts and they would find the joy, peace and comfort in Him.
