"That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:15-17
I have been blessed for a long time to wake up each morning with a song! I'm so thankful for this and feel so blessed. When I go to bed, I rarely wonder about what the song might be or have even an expectation that God will wake me with a song. Sometimes, I wake and wonder why "this song" and other times it clear the message I am receiving. This morning there is no doubting what I want to try to write this morning.
Last night, our Wednesday night Bible study was from John, Chapter 3. Brother Noah, looking straight into the camera, with no hesitation in his voice, no sugar coating, no toe tapping, but with love and passion, clearly taught and preached the message of Salvation. I sometimes feel this message gets "watered down", diluted in many of our Churches. I'm not sure why? Are we afraid of hurting someone's feelings? Are we afraid they may not come back to church? As Jesus told Nicodemus, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." God gave us a gift for our sins so we would have everlasting life. But a gift is only a gift unless we receive it and accept it as our own. This gift was Jesus, God's only Son, who lived a sinless life and then paid the price for all my sins.
Brother Noah, asked us all to be prepared to tell our personal story of Salvation and take the opportunity to share it with others. He suggested, we tell what our life was like before, the experience of asking Jesus to come into our lives and then the difference it has made. We are celebrating the Christmas season, the time we were given the greatest gift of all. As underserving as I was, all I had to do was accept this precious gift of Jesus. And with this gift, I received the greatest JOY of all. Let us not forget, Jesus is the reason for the season and this gift we can share with others.
I pray you will have an amazing day!
I love that song, I truly know he died for me and everyone who is a believer.
