“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.” Hebrews 10:22
Yesterday was one of those days for me! While it was cool and rainy, I stayed home. Now, if you know me, you know staying home or not being outside for the most part is not one of my better traits. LOL I like being out and about doing things and seeing people.
But all in all, it was a good day. I woke to a song that brought back great memories of my teenage years. Based on the many messages, texts and emails I received, I think it brought back a lot of good memories for many others also and that makes me smile. I had plenty of time to take care of some personal business that I have been putting off. I had been putting it off as I knew it would take a long time on the phone including the "wait times greater than normal due to heavy call volume". LOL But that mission is complete. (almost 3 hours later LOL) I received a couple of phone calls from sweet friends that brightened my day. Well that kind of activity continued all the way to bed time. A cool, rainy day turned into a sweet, meaningful and productive day. God is good and I am so underserving of His blessings on my life but He does it anyway!
And today is Friday! I don't know why I still recognize the joy Friday brings. Since I no longer work it's hard to tell one day from the other except looking at the calendar to make sure I don't miss Sunday. And my Friday starts by sharing the morning song, "I Am Thine, O Lord", one of Fanny Crosby's beloved hymns. Though she was blind, she was so amazingly inspired to pen so many words that touch our hearts, give us encouragement and become our prayers and songs of praise.
I hope you will be blessed listening to the great old hymn today and I pray your day will be truly blessed!
