Mosie Lister wrote some of my most favorite songs. I have spoke of him several times since I started writing my morning blog. He sang with the Sunny South Quartet, The Melody Masters and The Statesman but decided in 1953 to "retire" from singing and concentrate on his songwriting. Many of his songs are easily recognizable as they have been sung and recorded by many over the years. "While The Ages Roll", "Till The Storm Passes By", "His Hand In Mine", "How Long Has It Been", "Where No One Stands Alone", "I've Been Changed" are just a few of the many that come to my mind this morning.
I loved waking to "His Grace Is Sufficient". What a wonderful song to wake too this morning!
'Oh, His grace is sufficient for me.
And His love is abundant and free.
And what joy fills my soul,
Just to know, just to know
That His grace is sufficient for me."
Several months ago, Karen sang "His Grace Is Sufficient For Me" during our morning worship service. I love hearing Karen sing (or play) any song, but there was something special about "His Grace Is Sufficient For Me"! I wish I could share Karen singing but I can't so I will share another link for you today. I hope you will be blessed!
Thank you Lord for Your Amazing Grace!
I pray all of you will have an amazing Monday!
Gary, were Mosie and Hovie Lister related? I know Hovie played the piano and sung and preached too, I know you can give me the answer!
