He Looked Beyond My Fault

In the mid 1960's, Dottie Rambo wrote one of the songs that I most remember her by. It was a joy to start my Friday hearing it. When I hear or think of this song, I always think of one of the guys in the boy's quartet. This is a song he loved and always wanted to sing but I don't remember that we ever did. It is all about the amazing grace we need and are given.

As I recall, Dottie wrote this song as a result of her brother that only had a short time to live. She would go see him, sing and pray with him. He was needing to accept Christ but he would always tell her because of his former drug addiction and other faults it was too late for him. But a couple of weeks before he died, on one of her visits he shared that God had looked past his faults and he had accepted Christ as his Savior. Not long after that, Gov. Jimmie Davis asked Dottie to write a song for him to the tune of "Danny Boy" and she thought about her brother's words. The result was "He Looked Beyond My Fault And Saw My Need" and it has been sung and recorded by many since its writing.

I pray you will be blessed hearing this wonderful song today!

I hope your Friday will be amazing!
