Glory To His Name

I can't think of many better ways to wake up … hearing the chorus of "Glory To His Name"!!! What a joy to sing praises to our Savior on a Monday morning! We still can't attend church services together and we have had two straight Sundays of spring storms, but we have so much to be thankful for! I like what one of my dear church members posted on social media several days ago. He said he was thankful he had survived another day of covid19. Amen and me too!

I'm so glad, one day long ago, I was wondrously saved from sin and since then, Jesus so sweetly abides within. At the cross He took me in and His blood was applied to my heart. Glory to His Name! We have been so blessed and we need lift our voice in praise!

"Down at the cross where my Savior died, Down where for cleansing from sin I cried, There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!

Glory to His Name, Glory to His Name: There to my heart was the blood applied; Glory to His Name!

I am so wondrously saved from sin, Jesus so sweetly abides within, There at the cross where He took me in; Glory to His Name!

Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin, I am so glad I have entered in; There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean; Glory to His Name!

Come to this fountain so rich and sweet, Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet; Plunge in today, and be made complete; Glory to His Name!"

This is another one of the old hymns I remember so well as a young kid attending church services and have heard it throughout the years. It is one of those old hymns that is "time tested" and is still sung today. It was written as a poem in 1878 by Elisha A. Huffman and set to music by John Stockton, a musician and member of Mr. Hoffman's church. Again, it brought me great joy to wake up hearing the chorus this morning.

I hope you will enjoy hearing it also and it will bring you much joy on your Monday!
