Fear Not Tomorrow, God Is Already There

I have a special ability to embarrass myself and I've had this talent my entire life. As I think over my life, I can remember several moments when I created these points of embarrassment all by myself and to make it worse, I seemed to be proud of it. LOL This morning will be another one of those moments.

I have been to Sunday School and Church my entire life. I've attended Bible studies, Vacation Bible School, and I read and study my Bible at home. I've always considered myself to be a pretty good student at most things but I profess I do not claim to be a Bible scholar and I proved it several weeks ago. Amid the growing concern with the Coronavirus outbreak, I heard on TV one morning, that "Fear Not" appears in the Bible 365 times. I was so excited to hear learn this powerful information, I could not wait to share. I arrived at the church office that morning and started to ask everyone, one by one and to my pleasant surprise, they all knew my new found amazing information. I made it to Brother John and of course he too knew and laughingly he proclaimed he had preached on it during one of his recent sermons and I simply said I might have been running low on oxygen. I believe I could have asked everyone I came in contact with that day, from the youngest to the oldest and they all would have known, that God, through his word has equipped us with a daily "Fear Not" . Since then, I have also read, that Lloyd Oglive in "Facing the Future without Fear", even states there are 366 "Fear Nots" in the Bible giving us an extra one for leap year.

Now I haven't counted them and I will take their word for it but from my limited reading and study, I know God does not want us to fear. So make yourself a note this morning, if you are ever on a Bible Knowledge Game Show and you get stuck for an answer, don't call on me for a lifeline. LOL

The song I woke up to this morning is not one, I know too much about. It is not one, I grew up with. It's not one I have heard often. But a couple of weeks ago, I heard it and it has stuck with me. The words are perfect for the uncertain times we are living in. And as with so many newer songs, it incorporates one of my favorites older songs and reminds me of the words Brother John so often uses when we are visiting.

"In this age of uncertainty,

questions come to my mind.

What is waiting ahead for me

and the rest of mankind.

Fear not tomorrow. God is already there.

He's charting the course you take.

He sees each hidden snare.

He's waiting to guide you

through each burden and care.

Fear not tomorrow. God is already there.

Are you troubled o'er things to come?

Is your future unsure?

And are you dreading the coming dawn?

A long day to endure?

Fear not tomorrow. God is already there

He's charting the course you take.

He sees each hidden snare.

He's waiting to guide you

through each burden and care.

Fear not tomorrow. God is already there.

Many things about tomorrow I don't seem to understand.

Oh, but I know Who holds tomorrow.

And l know, oh, I know.

Yes, I know Who holds my hand.

Fear not tomorrow. God is already there.

Already there."

I hope you will enjoy hearing The Collingsworth Family sing "Fear Not Tomorrow, God Is Already There".

See you during online prayer meeting this evening!
