Yesterday Brother Steven shared another powerful message using scripture reference Matthew 5:13-16 with a focus on Light. His sermon started by leading us in the wonderful old song I suspect we all learned as children, "This Little Light Of Mine".
Yesterday afternoon as I reflected back on the morning service, I started thinking about the songs we learned in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School and the impact they have had on me my entire life. "This Little Light Of Mine", "The B-I-B-L-E", "Do Lord", and "Jesus Loves Me" were just a few of the ones I thought of. I wonder how many times these songs have been sung by children and adults alike as we have gone through our daily lives. The happiness, comfort, peace and joy, and memories they bring as we hear them sung or as we think of them is just difficult to describe.
This morning, I woke to one I did not think of yesterday afternoon, "Every Day With Jesus". I think this might have been the Good Lord's way of saying "don't forget about this one"! And it is another one that I love remembering. Every day with Jesus, is sweeter than the day before!
As we spend "Every Day With Jesus" let's us all remember to let our Light shine!
