It has almost been a year since I first started sharing my morning song and attempted to write my thoughts and feelings each day. What an incredible experience this has been for me. Not just to wake up with a song each day, but to share and then read messages and hear thoughts, experiences, blessings, and encouragement of others.
As I reflect this morning over the past weeks, what makes this an even more remarkable experience, this has happened during 2020. I think we would all agree, 2020 has been a year like none of us have ever experienced. Of course, the virus immediately comes to mind but there have been so many other things that have occurred that makes this year one we will long remember. I would say, that for the most part it has been a "down" year for many where we have experienced great turmoil in our lives and chaos in our world. Many of our families have experienced tragedies, sickness and death. Our churches have suspended services and we had to cut back on our social contacts even with family. We are told we can't go see our friends in hospitals and nursing homes or even in their homes for that matter. We have to wear masks. As the year continues, it seems that it becomes even crazier. It's as if we have all become fearful for so many things we may have taken for granted in the past. It almost feels as if we have had a total change to our lives as quick as we blinked our eyes. I feel as if all this "stuff" has made many us blind to the really important things and the goodness that we have and have not lost.
Over the past many weeks, I have often said how blessed I am. I've said I love the way God works. I've said how good God is! And I've said all those things because they are true and even in 2020, God continues to prove His love for us and He continues to bless me in so many ways. "Even In The Valley" reminds us of how good God is even during trying times.

This road of life has led you to a valley of defeat. You wonder if the Father has heard your desperate plea, but there is hope in the rugged place where tears of sorrow dwell. Can’t you hear Him gently whispering, “I’m here and all is well.”
