Bless The Lord, Oh My Soul

A Psalm of David. "Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name." Psalm 103:1

I am not surprised to wake up to "Bless The Lord, Oh My Soul" this morning. Last night, was a sweet time at our prayer meeting and the study of God's Word. Brother John led our discussion using the verses from Psalm 103. I have told everyone so many times how blessed I am, I suspect they get tired of hearing it. (But I'm going to keep saying it anyway.) He has done great things for me and this morning, I am resolved to give My Lord more praise and give greater thanks and I will always lift his Holy Name in honor, with affection and much gratitude.

"Bless The Lord, Oh My Soul" is a song I have heard and sang for many years. I remember a gentleman at the church I attended as a teenager and how often he would say, "Praise The Lord anyway". Last night someone said, we should praise The Lord not just in the good times but also in the difficult times. The other morning I woke to the song, "I Will Praise Him". The words say, "I will praise Him in the good times, I will praise Him in the bad. I will praise Him when I'm happy, I will praise Him when I'm sad." But as the Psalm says, we should praise Him with our entire being, from the very depths of our heart, soul and thought.

He has done great things for all of us and I will lift my song of praise to Him today and forever. Wishing you an awesome Thursday!
