I went to bed last night, reminiscing about several old songs I had on my mind. I thought about many I have had the pleasure of trying to sing, about the wonderful people I have sung with either in a group, choir, or around the piano one afternoon or evening in a home. I thought about the singing services and groups I have been able to attend and the overall impact so many of these amazing songs have had on my life. I guess I could say, I went to sleep so grateful for the inspiration of the songwriters who penned these songs that have brought me so much joy, peace, comfort and inspiration through the years.
"Beyond The Gates" was not one of the songs that I was thinking about but it was a joy to wake up to this great hymn this morning. I do not recall the first time I ever heard this song. I've kind of narrowed it down to hearing the Statesman sometime in a concert, on a record or on the radio but I don't know for sure. But I also don't remember, the last time I heard it sung. (Yes, I know, there are a lot of things I don't remember. LOL)
"Beyond The Gates" is a song written by Rev. Rupert Cravens and encourages us to think about the joys and blessings awaiting us in Heaven. I pray you will enjoy hearing the Kingdom Heirs sing this great song today!
I hope you will have a blessed Thursday!
