Beyond The Cross

It seems that over the past few weeks, I have woke to a song written by Mosie Lister quite often. This morning was no different as I woke to hearing "Beyond The Cross", a song he wrote around 1992 or 1993. I remember the first time I heard it I was sitting on my back deck one evening and I was so struck by the lyrics.

From the first words, "Needing strength for my journey, I knelt at the cross", my attention and heart were captured. The chorus states, "Beyond the Cross is a tomb that is empty. You won’t find Me there anymore. And beyond the tomb is life ever-lasting and hope forever more.” Praise the Lord!!!

A few weeks ago, I was listening to various songs and groups on You Tube and I ran across a group I had never heard of before. The Glory Boys is a "quartet" from Cumming, Georgia who started singing in 2008. What makes them unique to the traditional "quartet" is there are 8 men with two members singing each of the four parts. Here's a link if you are interested in reading more about them.

I pray you will enjoy hearing them sing "Beyond The Cross" today!

Hope to see you in prayer meeting tonight!
